Optical sensor systems and therefore the 3D Creator systems are very well prepared to detect the position and direction of moved objects in the 3D space and to provide the values in real time. The touch less measure of the 3D coordinates are realised by most modern systems through a high frequency infrared detection which allows to detect also relative fast objects very precisely. It is possible to mount the infrared diodes on almost all kinds of different objects in order to localise and track there movements in the 3D space.

The applications of the tracking systems reach from production optimising via the robotic and movement analysis up to medical and the increasing demand of augmented reality applications. The 3D Creator systems are very well suited for tracking applications, because of the large signal range die high frequency level and the modular and flexible system concept.

In the manufacture of composite structural components by manual lay-up, accuracy in ply placement as well as quality assurance regarding the correct ply sequence and orientation are critical.

With a digital camera, of which the position is always detected by the 3D Creator the working place can be captured. In this realtime picture the right position of the ply, which has been optimised by software, can be presented on a screen at the working place ( Augmented Reality). By using PlyMatch the manufacture process can be realised more efficiently, more accurately and can be well documented.
